The Book Nook is a used book shop located on the lower level of Herrick District Library and is operated by the Friends of Herrick District Library. Most books are on sale for $2 or less! For more information or to volunteer, contact Mary Doak at 399.6839.

Items Available
The Book Nook has a variety of materials for sale including: fiction, non-fiction, young adult and children's books, videos, CDs, cassette tapes, magazines and Check It Out: The Best of Herrick Home Cooking.
 
You will usually find works by popular fiction authors, such as Sandra Brown, Robin Cook, Clive Cussler, Mary Higgins Clark, Sidney Sheldon, Belva Plain or Danielle Steel and more for sale at the Book Nook.
 
Book Nook Donations
The Friends gladly accept donations of clean, used materials in good condition, including:
  • Hardcover Books (Except Reader's Digest Condensed Books/Encyclopedia sets/Text books)
  • Magazines
  • Paperback Books and Videos
  • CDs and Cassettes (Including books on tape).
Donations may be left at the Reference Services desk. To schedule a pick up of a large donation of materials, patrons may call 399.4227.
 
Please Note: Patrons who would like a receipt to file with their taxes may request one at the Reference Services desk at the time the donation is made and will need to provide a count of the materials (number of hardcovers/paperbacks/magazines, etc...). A count of the materials by the patron making the donation is required for a tax receipt.
