Donations
Book and monetary donations are greatly appreciated.  To donate new books, please contact the Business Office at 616.355.3725 before purchasing.  Financial contributions may be dropped off in the Business Office on the lower level of the library between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday.  Checks can be mailed to Herrick District Library, Attn: Business Office, 300 S. River Ave. Holland, MI  49423.
 
Used Book Donations
The Friends of Herrick District Library are pleased to accept donations of books, magazines and audiovisual materials in good condition for addition to the library's collection or for sale at the Book Nook located in the lower level of the main library. Please bring your donations to the Reference Desk.
 
Items we do not accept: National Geographic Magazines, musty materials, Reader's Digest Condensed books, encyclopedias more than 5 years old. If you have questions about what may be donated, please call 355.3720.
 
The North Side Branch will accept limited donations of current materials.
 
If you would like a donation receipt for your taxes, please ask at the desk.
 
Volunteers
Occasionally, volunteer opportunities are available at the Library.  Download a copy of the volunteer application and fax to 616.355.1426 or mail to Herrick District Library, Attn: Business Office, 300 S. River Ave. Holland, MI  49423.  You may also pick up a copy in the Business Office during business hours.
 
Membership to Friends of Herrick District Library
The Friends of Herrick District Library support the Library in a number of ways. They provide program support, run the Book Nook bookstore located on the Main Library's lower level, offer a scholarship to staff pursuing library degrees and more.  To get involved, click here to fill out a membership formor contact Pam Stowe at pmstowe@att.net.  Check out the Friends' page on our Web site for more information.
