Tulip Time

Every year in May Holland, Michigan is home to the Tulip Time Festival, a celebration of Holland’s Dutch heritage. People come from near and far to see the parades, tulips, Dutch dancing and to sample Dutch food. Some places to see in Holland during Tulip Time are Windmill Island, Veldheer Tulip Farm, Dutch Village and the Holland Museum.

The following information sheets tell about the history of Holland, Michigan and the Tulip Time Festival. All Things Dutch contains a list of books and resources about the Dutch culture. There are also descriptions of the wooden shoes, the Dutch costumes and the tulips, which are seen throughout Holland during Tulip Time. There is also a list of authentic Dutch recipes.
