Check Your Herrick District Library Account

Patrons with a valid Herrick District Library card and PIN (Personal Identification Number) can manage their library account online, or by telephone 24-hours a day at 494-8282.

 
Logging Into the LakeNet System

Patrons can view their account online by logging in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

Patrons who do not know their PIN can try the last four digits of their telephone number. Patrons who get an invalid PIN error message can contact Reference Services (355-3100 ext. 3720) for assistance.

After logging in, patrons can take the actions displayed below:

 
Display Checked Out Items

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Items Currently Checked Out link.

Scrolling down may be necessary to view the list of checked out items.

 
Renew Checked Out Items

Most items may be renewed one time, as long as there isn't a waiting list for that item.

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Items Currently Checked Out link.

3. Select items to be renewed by clicking the box in front of the title, in the column labeled "Renew."

4. Click the Renew Selected Items button.

A new due date will be displayed for items that have been renewed. If the item cannot be renewed, the reason it was not renewed will be displayed instead.

 
Display Requested Items (Holds)

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Requests (holds) link.

Scrolling down may be necessary to view the list of items.

 
Cancel Requested Items (Holds)

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Requests (holds) link.

3. Select items to be cancelled by clicking the box in front of the title, in the column labeled "Cancel."

4. Click the Update List button.

Status Descriptions
AVAILABLE: The owning library has not sent the item yet.
IN TRANSIT: The item has been sent, but has not yet arrived at the pickup location.
READY. Must Pick up by [date]: The item is ready for check out at the pickup location.

No Status Displayed: The item is checked out or on order and your request will be filled when the item becomes available.

 
Display Fines and Other Charges

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Unpaid Fines and Bills link.

 
Sign-up for Email Notification

Herrick will contact patrons by e-mail when holds are ready for pickup, and 3 days before their items are due back at the library.

Please Note: Patrons under 18 must have parental consent to activate this service.

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Notices by Email button.

3. Enter the first five digits of your library card number, then click the Submit Query button.

4. Click the Subscribe link.

5. Fill in all starred fields on the Privacy Waiver form, then click the I Agree button.

Do Not fill out the privacy waiver screen more than one time. If you do not start receiving email notices after signing up, email holenote@llcoop.org.

 
Change the PIN

1. Log in at the My Account Login screen of the LakeNet Online Catalog.

2. Click the Modify Your PIN button.

3. Type your current PIN in the first box on the form.

4. Type a new PIN in the second box on the form, then type it again in the third box on the form.

5. Click the Submit button.
