Located on the lower level of the main library, the Book Nook is a gift and used book shop operated by the Friends of Herrick District Library (FoHDL).
Hours
  Visitors may find works by popular fiction authors, such as Sandra Brown, Robin Cook, Clive Cussler, Mary Higgins Clark, Sidney Sheldon, Belva Plain or Danielle Steel, for sale at the Book Nook.
The Book Nook also sells pencils, erasers, glue sticks, crayons, notepads, tote bags, mugs, figurines, picture frames, small clocks and t-shirts.
Book Nook Donations Donations may be left at the Reference Services desk.
To schedule a pick up of a large donation of materials, patrons may call 399-4227.
Please Note:
Patrons who would like to a receipt to file with their taxes may
request one at the Reference Services desk at the time the donation is made.
Please Also Note: A count of the materials (number of hardcovers/paperbacks/tapes, etc.)
by the patron making the donation is required.

The Book Nook has a variety of materials for sale including: fiction, non-fiction, young adult and children's books, videos, CDs, cassette tapes, magazines, gift items and Check It Out: The Best of Herrick Home Cooking.
The Friends gladly accept donations of clean, used materials in good condition, including:
Hardback Books (Except Reader's Digest Condensed Books/Encyclopedia sets/Text books)
Magazines (2005 or newer)
Paperback Books and Videos
CDs and Cassettes (Including books on tape).
